About Small Satellites or Cubesat ?

Cubesat are miniature satellite but have been used exclusively in low earth orbit for 15 years and are now being used for inter planetary mission as well. In the beginning, they were commonly used in low earth orbit for application such as remote sensing or communication.Basic design of cubesat is 10 cm that is (4 inch) cube with a mass of less than 1.33 kgs(2.93 lbs), but cubesat can also be designed to encompass two,three or six 10 centimeter units for more complicated missions.

Why this Flagship Small Satellite Design Internship?

CubeSats are a disruptive technology that standardizes the production of space technology these satellites employee the same system as largest satellite, as well as other space craft such as lunar or interplanetary spacecraft.

CubeSats are also validated using similar techniques, flown on the same rockets, and use the same ground-based communication links as the largest spacecraft. By learning about the CubeSats you become familiar with the process of space system engineering and ready to delve into details in a particular areas of interest!
